The Pirates take on the Atlanta Braves tonight at 7:10. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN, but blacked out in all areas that recieve Root Sports PIT. The probables tonight are James McDonald (6-4, 4.15 ERA) against the Braves’ Tim Hudson (9-6, 3.39 ERA).

Ex-Pirates Eric Hinske, Nate McLouth and David Ross are all on the Braves right now. Hinske is currently 2 RBIs away from 500 career RBIs.

Since June 1, the Braves have gone 29-17 (.630), sporting the best record in the National League during that span.

Joe Beimel got the win for the Pirates in their 10-inning victory over the Cardinals at PNC Park on Sunday. It was his first win as a Pirate since May 2, 2003.
